News and Notes:

Principal's Corner
Dear Families,

Hopefully you received my email about COVID precautions and steps to be taken in case a student or staff member becomes infected here at school.  Thank you to those families that have taken the necessary steps to be cautious in keeping their children home when they have come in contact with positive cases.  I think that is what has been most helpful in keeping our numbers at zero.  As I mentioned in my email, we know it's just a matter of time before we have our first case - when not if.

We continue to offer a hybrid of online/on-site learning.  If you feel it necessary to pull your child from onsite to online learning during the "flu" season, please understand that due to current restrictions with spacing we only have 24 spots available in the classrooms.  We will do our best to accommodate you when you wish to return, but spacing may dictate that your child will need to stay online for the remainder of the restricted time.  Thank you for your understanding.

Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Dickert

Giving Tree
Christmas time is coming soon and we are preparing for our annual Giving Tree. St. Anthony’s Giving Tree is a heartwarming ministry that involves our entire parish. During the month of November and December leading up to Christmas, the Giving Tree Ministry acts as a vehicle so that members of our parish can share their blessings with those who are less fortunate in our community. We are asking for gift cards of any kind to give to a needy child in our community. Your generous donations also help families that are in various shelters and those that reach out for help during Christmas time.

Thanks to your generosity in 2019, St Anthony’s Giving Tree received 1338 gifts, helping approximately 270 families. Due to Covid-19 and in order to keep everyone safe, we are asking if you can please donate gift cards and drop them off in the mail slot at parish office or school office. Gift cards can be dropped off any time prior to December 15th. We will not be accepting gifts this year.
Christmas Baskets for St. Vincent de Paul
Our St. Vincent de Paul Ministry has been serving more families than ever during this pandemic.  We are asking for your help during the holiday season, to provide a Christmas dinner to those in need.  Each class has been given a list of food items to donate to help fill the Christmas food baskets. Fall food items must be collected by December 16th.  A complete list of requested items can be found on our website and Facebook page.  Thank you for your generosity!
