News and Notes:

  • We are in need of a chair for our upcoming Tacos and Tequila.  Please contact Monieca Medina, our PTG President or stop by the school office.
  • Scrip Hours: 8:00-9:00 daily in the Library 
  • Our 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team has a home game this weekend - we'd love to have parents, students and classmates come to cheer them on!  They play at 3:00.  We will be acknowledging the players before the start of the game.
  • Half Day PreK still has some spots available.  Contact Jennifer Dalen for more information.
  • Tacos & Tequila Tickets are $25 and available in the school office.  Don't wait - this event sells out every year! Tickets will not be sold at the door.
  • Dance-a-thon Pledge sheets went home last week.  Mark your calendars - Friday, September 27th!!!!

School Sunday Mass Readers
We are looking for students in grades 4 through 8 that would like to read at our School Masses on Sundays at the 8:45 am Mass.  Our first Sunday is September 22 (the weekend following the Harvest Festival) and each third Sunday of the Month following. We will need two readers for each Mass.  If you are interested, please email Mrs. Dickert 
Room Parents Needed.
Room parents are needed for the following grades 3rd, 4th, 5th,6th 7th and 8th.  We would ideally like two parents per grade, please.  Room parents help teachers coordinate class parties (3-5 only, 6-8 will do two-three dance/theme parties as a group), assist in getting important communication out to parents in class for upcoming events at school and more.  There will be a meeting with all room parents, date and information for meeting will be sent out once the spots are filled.

6th Grade Drive-Thru Dinner Fundraiser - Friday - October 11th
6th Grade is hosting a drive-thru dinner to raise money for Science Camp.  Dinner menu: pulled pork, chicken, southern-style coleslaw, BBQ beans, and a roll.  Tickets are only $15!  You may purchase from any 6th grade student or parent.  Tickets also available in the school office.  Tickets MUST be purchased by Friday, October 4th, as we need to get a count. Proceeds benefit 6th grade Science Camp.
Harvest Festival Volunteer Workers
Thank you to all of our wonderful parents that took their time to work at the Harvest Festival.  If you worked and forgot to sign in or out, please stop by the school office and enter your time in the Green Harvest Festival binder.  Please do so no later than this Friday, September 20th.  Thank you!
Get your dancin' shoes on - it's DANCE A THON time!
Dance-a-thon forms went home last week and are due back on September 27th.  All funds raised are use for classroom projects and field trips.  All funds stay with the class that raises them year to year.  It's important that the 8th graders stay involved to help keep graduation, awards banquet and end of year trip costs to a minimum.
Youth Ministry is Back!
SALTY - Youth Ministry for grades 4 and 5 will meet 2 times per month on Fridays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Rec Hall/Gym.  See the school calendar for specific meeting dates.  
EDGE - the Jr. High Youth Ministry program will be meeting on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Rec Hall/Gym.
Kona Ice will be on sale in the small parking lot after school on September 27.  This is a St. Anthony's Student Council sponsored fundraiser. 
Refer a Family - Earn one month Free Tuition
Refer a new family to St. Anthony's Catholic School, once the family is enrolled - you earn one month tuition credit to be applied to your FACTS account.  The more families you refer, the more credit you earn!  All credits will be applied during the month of December.
*Families must include your name in the referral section of the application to ensure you receive credit.
Volunteer Opportunity
Earn volunteer hours on the weekends helping in the Roundrunner Cafe.  You will earn PTG participation for your time helping in the snack bar during CYO games at St. Anthony's.  Help is needed on Sunday, September 29th.  Sign up sheets are in the school office.  Thank you for your help.
