6th Grade News
In addition to learning the 3 R's - Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic, the sixth graders are learning a 4th R   "R"eal life stuff including "Time Cards", "Rent", "Business Money Management", "Ledger Sheets", being organized and being a good financial manager.  The students are learning how to create a business, market their product and see how financially lucrative their product can be during a "Mall" sale day. On this day the sixth graders and other invited people can participate in our students' economic business practice.
We have also begun to prepare for Science Camp - Outdoor Education at Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda, CA.  The children will be participating from March 19th-23rd, with students from four other Catholic schools....St. Bernard's, St. Anne's, Annunciation and St. Luke's.
The class loved creating Christmas cards for the Senior Citizen's Home and will continue with their sharing of "love" during Valentine's, St. Patrick's and Easter.  We will continue moving forward to model the other important 3 R's in life..."Religion, Respect, and Responsibility" for ourselves and to others.   As you can see, it is exciting to share, learn and use the knowledge in our everyday life skills.
With continued love of learning, Mrs. Donna "Young

PTG Meeting Update
In regard to the PTG Dues on the Treasurers Report - there was an issue with FACTS and they were working to resolve it.  This was why nothing new was reported for dues.
Tacos n Tequila, the additional $1,682, was for liquor and reimbursement for decorations.
The $305/$300 Dues/Fees was just a mistype of the $5 not being carried over.  It was detailed out on the back page.
This Treasurers Report is now accurate.  You may find it on our school web site.
PTG Auction Dinner RSVP'S
Yesterday you should have received a "Lilac" colored paper which is your reply for the Auction dinner on March 17th.  Your PTG dues include 2 tickets to this exciting event!  Please return to the school office with your response so we may be able to plan accordingly.  Thank you to those families who have already done so.  If you did not receive one, ask your student.
