School Sunday Mass Readers
We are looking for students in grades 4 through 8 that would like to read at our School Masses on Sundays at the 8:45 am Mass.  Our first Sunday is September 22 (the weekend following the Harvest Festival) and each third Sunday of the Month following. We will need two readers for each Mass.  If you are interested, please email Mrs. Dickert 
Room Parents Needed.
Room parents are needed for the following grades 3rd, 4th, 5th,6th 7th and 8th.  We would ideally like two parents per grade, please.  Room parents help teachers coordinate class parties (3-5 only, 6-8 will do two-three dance/theme parties as a group), assist in getting important communication out to parents in class for upcoming events at school and more.  There will be a meeting with all room parents, date and information for meeting will be sent out once the spots are filled.

Scrip Workers Needed
Scrip is in need of morning workers.  If you would like to help us out, please email  Scrip is from 8:00-9:00 Monday through Friday.  You would only need to one of these days.  This is a year-long commitment and you will receive 30 hours of participation.  Stop by and check up out!!
Yearbook News
We have begun taking orders for the 19-20 Yearbook. Order forms are available in the school office.  The cost until December 20th is $35.00 and we accept credit cards, cash or you can have it applied to your FACTS account. Online orders can be done at: 

We are looking for a couple of reliable people with good follow-through to join the yearbook team.
  • Someone who can take photos at events, upload the best ones to google drive in a timely manner. 
  • Someone who is good with computers preferably with some sort of graphic design.
  • A few middle school students who would like to help the yearbook team doing short paragraphs, photography, and advertising for the yearbook.

St. Anthony's School Parent Student Handbook
The SAS Parent Student Handbook updated last year in conjunction with the Diocese of Stockton Catholic Elementary Schools, so that we are consistent across the Diocese.  In doing our update, we found a few errors that have now been corrected.  The corrected handbook is on our school website and is available for download. The changes include:
  • Dress Code including red polo shirts for boys, gray shoes, white, navy and black socks.
  • The grading scale is now in line with the scale used by MUSD
  • The safe environment program was updated to our current program, Veritas.
  • The lunch price was updated to our current rate of $2.75

Harvest Festival September 13-15
Our Annual Harvest Festival is upon us.  If you are interested in helping at a booth, we will have sign up sheets available in the school office.  Raffle ticket sales for the Tent Raffle are available for purchase in the school office.
Scrip News
The AMC Theatres "reload" is being discontinued. They have decided to discontinue the ability to reload funds to all physical gift cards. Any funds already reloaded will still be available for your use.
An Invitation fo First Responders
In appreciation of your service to the community, the student council of St. Anthony's Catholic School cordially invites you and your family to be our guest at the Blue Mass on Thursday, September 12th at 9:00 a.m. Following Mass, there will be a reception held in your honor in the school Cafeteria.
We thank you for all your dedication to serving our people, your tremendous works of God, and being there when we need you.  Please take time and join us to celebrate you and your families.  
If you are able to honour us with your presence, would you kindly RSVP to the student council moderator,,  by September 5th.  This will greatly help us to prepare for the reception.

Candy for Harvest Festival
We are asking for donations of candy for some of the prizes for the booths. Child's Play is the preferred brand, with the big bags being the recommended size, but whatever size you can find where you shop will work.  Please NO chocolate!!  Parents may receive participation hours for their donation. (An hour per five (5) lb bag will be credited to your family max of 5 hours). You MUST sign in your donation in the participation binder in the school office.  Be sure to check out your child’s classroom door for the count!! The Class with the most candy collected will earn party!!!  Deadline September 12th Winner will be announced Friday September 13th.
Youth Ministry is Back!
SALTY - Youth Ministry for grades 4 and 5 will meet 2 times per month on Fridays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Rec Hall/Gym.  See the school calendar for specific meeting dates.  There is a parent meeting this Friday to find out more about the SALTY youth ministry program.  We would love to see you there.

EDGE - the Jr. High Youth Ministry program will be meeting on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Rec Hall/Gym beginning Monday, August 26.  There is a junior high parent meeting on Monday, August 26 - join us and find out more about the program and how you can get involved.
Spiritwear/Outerwear/Embroidery/Heat Transfer for school shirts
Order forms can be found on our website.  Orders are to be in the school office NO later than 3:00pm on Tuesday, September 10th.
Scholarship/SEED Thank You Letters
If you received either a SEEDS Award or a Scholarship from one of our many friends of St. Anthony's, please have your child/ren write a generic thank you letter that we can pass along.  We would like to have all letters in the office no later than August 29, 2019. 
Refer a Family - Earn one month Free Tuition
Refer a new family to St. Anthony's Catholic School, once the family is enrolled - you earn one month tuition credit to be applied to your FACTS account.  The more families you refer, the more credit you earn!  All credits will be applied during the month of December.
*Families must include your name in the referral section of the application to ensure you receive credit.
PreSchool Trike-a-thon
Friday, Sept 6 @ 9:00 am
Students will have 30 minutes to complete as many laps around the course as possible.

Welcome Families are needed - Urgent Plea!
Cultural Homestay International is looking for families to host a student for the school year.  The boys are from Germany, Thailand, Turkey, Belgium, and Spain.  They range in ages of 15 to 18. Many of these boys put in their application over a year ago to come to school here in the United States.  Host families can be made up of any shape and size!  If you have any questions you can call Erika Menedez at 209-470-7325.  She and her family are currently hosting a student from Italy.
