West End SPEAKS to West End ACTS

On April 11th, FC Cincinnati, Turner Construction, Jostin Construction and CityLink Center announced the First Source Hiring Program. This construction workforce hiring program was created to connect individuals to construction job opportunities within the FC stadium development and beyond.

“As we continue to bring on specific trade contractors, the number of workers on site will begin to increase and job opportunities will begin to develop. It will be a gradual ramp-up, and we will eventually have more than 200 people on-site during a 12-month period, peaking around 350 people at the height of construction,” David Spaulding, Vice President and General Manager of Turner Construction said.

For more information about potential work and career opportunities,
please visit the First Source website at,  contact FirstSource at 513-357-2000 or visit CityLink Center in the West End at 800 Bank St, 45214.
Have you seen it? House of Dogs Street Ministry created by Curtis Martin has a new structure at the corner of Linn and Poplar streets.

Curtis started the food stand as a way to raise money for his mother's headstone. He knew there was a need for fast, affordable food in our neighborhood and has been cooking in the neighborhood ever since. He doesn't want anyone to walk by hungry, so his menu is Pay What You Can.

WE Gallery celebrated the gallery's first birthday on Monday, March 25th. The gallery is located at 1721 Baymiller Street and provides free art workshops to the West End community.
