PRAMP Celebrates Clean Air Day

Photo by Marc Boychuk, Clean Air Day photo contest first place winner

Clean Air Day was first declared in Canada in 1999 as an annual celebration during Canadian Environment Week. This year, PRAMP had a number of Clean Air Day events to emphasize the importance of clean air in our community.

Events included school tours of the AQHI station in Grimshaw, the announcement of our photo contest winners, and a radio interview.

Students Learn About Air Quality Data

Students from grades four and five learned how air quality data is collected during special tours of the Grimshaw AQHI air quality station.

PRAMP technical managers Lily Lin and Mike Bisaga hosted the students on June 8 and 9 as part of our Clean Air Day events.

After touring the station, students had fun spinning our prize wheel, answering questions related to clean air, and choosing one of our PRAMP goodies as a prize.
