Design and Delivery of Tactical Decision Games is a workbook that covers the basics of facilitation and design of tactical decision games using sand table exercises.  It is intended for use in conjunction with the DVD Delivering Tactical Decision Games Using Sand Tables Exercises, PMS 468.

Making decisions is a critical part of wildland fire jobs and Tactical Decision Games (TDGS) are a great way to practice making decisions and communicating those decisions to others.  Create your own scenarios using the document and template available via the NWCG publications library.

National Wildfire Coordinating Group
Our mission is to provide national leadership to enable interoperable wildland fire operations among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners.  NWCG operations standards are interagency by design; they are developed with the intent of universal adoption by the member agencies.  However, the decision to adopt and utilize them is made independently by the individual member agencies and communicated through their respective directives systems.
