Establishment of Wildland Fire Learning Portal (WFLP) Governance Board

The NWCG Executive Board chartered the NWCG Wildland Fire Learning Portal (WFLP) Governance Board to provide national level oversight, authority, and long-term strategic direction of the WFLP by ensuring all stakeholder interests are represented.

Effective July 31, 2020, the WFLP Governance Board replaces the Learning Portal Stakeholder Team as the business stewards for the WFLP.

National Wildfire Coordinating Group

Our mission is to provide national leadership to enable interoperable wildland fire operations among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners. NWCG operations standards are interagency by design; they are developed with the intent of universal adoption by the member agencies. However, the decision to adopt and utilize them is made independently by the individual member agencies and communicated through their respective directives systems.
