The theme for the 2022 leadership campaign is Learning in the Wildland Fire Service.

The annual campaign is an opportunity for personnel at the local level - whether collectively or through self-development - to focus on leadership development activities.

Each week, challenges will be posted on the Wildland Fire Leadership Development Program (WFLDP) page. The campaign is flexible. Local units or teams may use or adapt any materials on the website or social media platforms or develop a program or activity spotlighting the campaign theme.

National Wildfire Coordinating Group

Our mission is to provide national leadership to enable interoperable wildland fire operations among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners. NWCG operations standards are interagency by design; they are developed with the intent of universal adoption by the member agencies. However, the decision to adopt and utilize them is made independently by the individual member agencies and communicated through their respective directives systems.
