Transition Plan for Complex Incident Management (CIM)Pilot Phase, Memo 22-002
Effective immediately, the transition plan options in Memo 2022-02 may be implemented by those individuals desiring to participate in the pilot and transition to CIM Command and General Staff (C&G) positions:
Availability of the positions in the qualification applications (IQS/IQCS) is anticipated no later than June 3.
This pilot will run through December 31, 2022. In January 2023, a nationwide and systemwide transition plan will be issued for use through full implementation of CIM in April 2024.
Our mission is to provide national leadership to enable interoperable wildland fire operations among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners. NWCG operations standards are interagency by design; they are developed with the intent of universal adoption by the member agencies. However, the decision to adopt and utilize them is made independently by the individual member agencies and communicated through their respective directives systems.
