NWCG Standards for Aviation Risk Management, PMS 530
These standards establish common terms, processes, and tools utilized in applying risk management to aviation operations. Risk management is a systems-oriented process for identifying and controlling hazards across the full spectrum of missions, functions, operations, and activities conducted to meet organizational goals.
The accompanying NWCG Aviation Risk Management Workbook, PMS 530-1, is still under development and should be available soon.

National Wildfire Coordinating Group
Our mission is to provide national leadership to enable interoperable wildland fire operations among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners.  NWCG operations standards are interagency by design; they are developed with the intent of universal adoption by the member agencies.  However, the decision to adopt and utilize them is made independently by the individual member agencies and communicated through their respective directives systems.
