Conversations Across The Region – a series of interviews, Innovation and Media Manager Russell Pell has being recording with members of local government and business operators throughout the Mid North Coast (MNC) region. The content of the interviews is focused on how the Covid – 19 crisis has affected towns in the MNC through the eyes of local mayors and business people. Kempsey School Students Shine in Cybersecurity Program - Kempsey school students achieved outstanding results in the select final Leadership and Entrepreneurship phase of the Charles Sturt University Girls in Cybersecurity Advancing (GiCSA) program. RDA Mid North Coast was proud to enable and support Kempsey High School students to participate in GiCSA as part of its role in the STEM Industry School Partnerships (SISP) program, along with the NSW Cybersecurity Innovation Node who supported the initial workshop phase in Port Macquarie in August 2019. North Coast Employment Strategy - With the survey now complete RDAMNC and RDA Northern Rivers are calling for further information to enable the creation of an employment strategy for the region that’s designed by the region. There are two ways to contribute:
  1. Download the discussion paper and provide written feedback
  2. Attend the live discussion on Friday 29 May at 11am register here:
North Coast Employment Strategy will be released in the last week of June 2020.
Ten@10 - is a new segment hosted each Tuesday morning on the Regional Business Connect Facebook Page. Each week a guest answers ten questions in ten minutes at 10am. Sharing insights about what works for them in business to the community, it's free and guess what, it only takes ten minutes. The Regional Business Connect Facebook group is designed to support small businesses by linking them with the support they need in the current environment. There are over 80 business mentors from across Australia online and ready to provide free assistance. Take a look - HERE

GRANTS - Where are they and how to apply
The RDAMNC website has a grants section listing a number of grants that may be useful to you. You can also check out GRANTCONNECT, an Australian Government site where you can continue your search.

So, you’re applying for a grant…

Grants are available at all tiers of government; think Federal, State and Local. Grant applications are often time-limited so be prepared to be prepared.
