Here's to the last update of the year

I hope everyone's 2021 has been... uh... not terrible?

Just a bit of admin: Last ordering dates for Xmas deliveries for the UK are 1st Class: December 19th and 2nd Class: December 16th. And I'll be closing up shop for a 2-week break on December 22nd, and reopening on January 5th.

Have a wonderful New Year. Maybe I'll even see you at a zine fest in 2022? Take care, wear yer mask, stay safe x

Feminists For Trans Rights

All the Feminists For Trans Rights merch is still up for sale. Thanks to everyone who's bought some already, I've been able to donate £90 to Trans Mutual Aid Manchester and £45 to the Black Trans Foundation

I'll be donating 50% of all sales to a rotating trans-led group for the foreseeable future. The current group I'm collecting for is the Gender Community Lending Library! They lend trans and queer books to people across the UK.

Gift Ideas

It's that time of year! Here's a few gift ideas for you.

(As an aside, even if you don't buy anything from me this year, please try and shop local/independent, and above all else, fuck Amazon and their terrible treatment of their workers).

Want to introduce someone to zine making? Stolen Sharpie Revolution is a great introduction, plus I'll never stop banging on about how perfect Crap Hound is for DIY cut n paste zine makers. The full zine-making selection is here. Want something for someone who's already zine obsessed? Find our selection for zine lovers here.

There's plenty for plant lovers, vegans, art lovers, music fanspunks, and fans of fiction or graphic novels.

For kids and young adults: we've got an ever-growing selection of diverse and inclusive books. For budding young chefs, Omari McQueen’s Best Bites is a plant based cookbook with simple and easy to follow recipes. The Girl From The Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag is a coming-of-age fantasy sapphic romance graphic novel that is just adorably illustrated. The Art of Drag covers the very long history of drag and is still one of my favourites for how stunning it is visually.

Everyone seems to like badges, and we also do some nice gift vouchers

Take a look at this Auction for Mika, a top surgery fundraiser taking place over on Instagram December 10th-12th. There'll be lots of nice things up for grabs (including a bundle of things from me).
If you have a Zine Thing that you'd like me to promo, please just get in touch. I'm also always looking for tips/resources on: zine libraries, distro info, physical places that sell zines around the UK, your fave place to print/copy zines, archives, articles, local zine groups etc etc. So I can add to the growing resources section!

& don't forget I'm always open to stocking your zines - so show me your work anytime.

I hope you've enjoyed this newsletter! You can support my work + pen fight by telling your pals about us, ordering something from the shop, or giving a tip via Ko-Fi

Take care,
