7NEWS Young Achiever Awards WA
Do you know a young achiever in your community and want to recognise them? Entries for the Young Achiever Award WA are now open and have been extended to Monday 31st January 2022. Click here to enter a nominee, it will only take you 2 minutes and it may change their life!

The Western Australian Premier's Book Awards
The awards support, develop and recognise excellence in Western Australian writing. These Awards are made available by the Western Australian Government and are managed by the State Library of Western Australia. See below for more details. The National Young Leaders Day
Perth Convention Exhibition Centre - 4th March 2022.
Once in a lifetime experience for students to meet their heroes and role models. The National Young Leaders Day is Australia's largest gathering of young leaders and it is an annual event on the calendar of thousands of schools. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gather at world-class event venues to hear some of Australia’s most high profile people share insights from their own leadership journey. For generations of Australians, Clean Up Australia Day remains one of the most iconic environmental events in the Australian calendar.

The huge uptake in single use items including face masks and coffee cups, as well as the spike in online shopping and home deliveries and the associated packaging waste means Clean up Australia's mission remains critical. The urgency to clean up and conserve the environment has never been more important.

From the tip of the Top End, to the rainforests of Tassie, from Albany to Yungaburra, we’ll again be supporting and celebrating the hundreds of thousands of Aussies who will Step Up to Clean Up. The Stable Fly Action Group (SFAG) is experiencing one of its worst outbreaks in years and they need your help to locate the source. Blue Carbon Ecosystem Restoration Grants

The objective of the grants is to implement various on-ground ecosystem restoration activities, and demonstrate how these lead to measured climate, biodiversity and livelihood benefits.

The grants will fund on-ground implementation of at least 4 blue carbon ecosystem restoration projects in Australia. The projects will be chosen to represent a variety of blue carbon ecosystem types and socio-economic settings and serve as demonstration of the outcomes achievable for climate, biodiversity and livelihoods. The Seedling Bank Grants

Funding the supply of native seedlings to schools and community groups around Australia.

Since 1996, National Tree Day has seen Australian communities plant almost 26 million trees. The Seedling Bank aims to further support these dedicated volunteers with their planting efforts by providing financial support where seedlings are needed most. COVID-19 Youth Recovery Grants

This grant aims to support community initiatives that assist young people during the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding of up to $5,000 is available for one-off activities or initiatives with a duration of up to six months involving one or more partners and that contribute to the achievement of program objectives. Funding of up to $10,000 is available for longer term (over six months), community-wide strategic initiatives involving a wide range of partners and that contribute to the achievement of the program objectives. Building Better Regions Fund-Community Investments Stream

For Round 6 a total of $250 million is available.

The Community Investments Stream will fund new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, or leadership and capability strengthening activities that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas. Infrastructure projects are not eligible under the Community Investments Stream. Applications close 10 February 2022, click here for further information and to apply.

Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) Program

This grant aims to support community cultural, heritage and arts organisations in regional Australia as they recover from the impacts of COVID-19.

The CHART program promotes participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture through developing and supporting cultural expression and sharing stories of community and historical significance. Community-run arts and cultural organisations – including community museums, galleries, and historical societies – will benefit from CHART program funding. The program will support these organisations to continue to offer appealing cultural tourism experiences to visitors, which in turn will enhance local expenditure.
