Philosophy and a Christian Worldview:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

In his Epistle to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul warns the young church at Colossae. In the second chapter verse eight we read:

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. (NASB)
Paul here is addressing a particular issue, but what is philosophy in the first place. During this session we will address the following questions with respect to recognizing the philosophy and a worldview that is according to the world and not according to Christ:

• What is Philosophy?
• What is the Value of Philosophy?
• What is a Christian Worldview?
• What is the difference between a Secular Worldview and a Christian Worldview?
• What does an examined life look like?

Throughout this session, there will be video clips along with time for questions and discussion.
Discussion and Q & A will follow each presentation. Childcare is provided. Sign up at the Welcome Center.
