Please take a few moments to watch this video update from Executive Director Olivia Bossert regarding the 2020 "Arise" Annual Banquet.
Hello Friends,

As you may already know, Gov. Larry Hogan held a press conference yesterday afternoon during which several announcements were made about measures being taken by the State of Maryland to slow the spread of COVID-19.  One of the measures he announced was a mandate that prohibits groups of 250 or more from gathering together.  Due to this mandate, Care Net of Southern Maryland’s Annual Banquet, scheduled to be held on March 26th, will be postponed.  The Annual Banquet is our biggest fundraiser of the year and supplies just under 30% of our Annual Budget – this event is vital to the survival of this ministry.  The postponement of the Annual Banquet has the potential to severely impact our ability to continue to provide services to our community.  For this reason, we want to share with you the following information.
The “ARISE” Annual Banquet will be rescheduled for a date in September of this year.  Your tickets and table sponsorships will automatically transfer to that event.  If you find that the rescheduled event is on a date that you are unable to attend, we would be happy to transfer your ticket purchase or table sponsorship to a charitable, tax-deductible donation.  There are costs associated with events of this size, many of which we have already paid upfront for the “Arise” Banquet; however,  if necessary, you may also request a refund of your ticket purchase or table sponsorship by calling or emailing our Lexington Park Center.  We are looking forward to gathering together with you this fall to share the vision for the future of Care Net of Southern Maryland and all of the exciting things that have happened in the past year.  More details about this fall event will be forthcoming.
Finally, I want to take a moment to encourage you.  Among the staff at Care Net of Southern Maryland, we often find ourselves encouraging one another with the children’s song, “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there’s nothing my God can not do.”  This is truth.  He has shown His faithfulness time and again.  He is the Waymaker, the Miracle Worker, the Promise Keeper and the Light in the Darkness.   That is who He is.  As people of faith, let’s “Arise” and show the world that we are people who do not fear the future but trust in Almighty God to provide for all of our needs.  Let’s encourage one another and help each other whenever we can.  Care Net of Southern Maryland plans to continue to serve our community through this time of uncertainty.  If you would like to help us by making a donation, you may do so online at our website,

Thank you for your faithful support of this ministry.
