President's Corner

From Richard Shoaf, President

January meeting was a real success with a brief Local Section Update and a great presentation on Field Safety tracking by Philip Chancellor.

February we have  Dr. Jonathan Jacoby from Afton Chemical talking about  Lean & Six Sigma Applied to Industrial Hygiene    at McCormick & Schmick's. Register here: https://feb2018aihastlouis.eventbrite.com

One benefit of membership is that you have the ability to either pay in advance for the professional development luncheons or pay onsite with registration.  Pre-registering helps us schedule locations that need a close number of attendees and allows us to keep the cost down while changing up the venue & menu.

Also we are nearing our Annual PDC with ASSE and excited to to have 12 break out sessions on top of the National Updates, networking and panel discussion on emerging issues.  Thanks to everyone who has been helping make this event a success.

Finally, thank you for being a member and as always we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the PDC this year!

Richard C. A. Shoaf,
President
AIHA Saint Louis Section
