President's Corner

Happy New Year!  For 2019 there is much work ahead of us but we have a wonderful group of returning and new board members, all experienced professionals to help manage our chapter.  We have some exciting changes with new speakers, new locations and even a couple of meeting times that may work better with those busy schedules!

This year, I want us all to discover new and exciting ways that we can grow as an organization, and as individuals.  We need to ask ourselves, how can we inspire a safety driven culture within our industries, our communities, and our families? How can we better educate others about industrial hygiene and safety hazards? And how can we create more engagement opportunities with other professional and student organizations?
If you have an idea to help our section grow, please do not hesitate to reach out.  Our board meetings are always open so feel free to join us there as well.

I look forward to this new and exciting adventure as this year's Saint Louis AIHA Local Section President. Hope to see you all at the January, 17th meeting to present 2019 opportunities.
