Dear Friend of JFON:

On Saturday, November 10th at 5 PM the Annual Celebration and Dinner Fundraiser for New England Justice for Our Neighbors will be held in Springfield.  The Springfield clinic of JFON, under the oversight of Urban Potential, Inc. is honored to host this event, as we will be celebrating five years of service to the immigrant community.  During this period of time, the Springfield clinic has welcomed more than four hundred clients who were hoping for a green card and a path to citizenship.  Through our partnership with Community Legal Aid Inc. a non-profit legal counsel, we have been able to help many of these clients realize their dreams.  New England JFON is a division of National JFON, a United Methodist ministry that offers legal aid to low income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

During this exciting evening, we’ll not only celebrate five years of operation in Springfield, but have the chance to learn more about JFON across the country, hear about the JFON clinic in Woburn, Massachusetts that recently re-opened and efforts to open another clinic in the Lawrence/Lowell area.  Rob Rutland-Brown, Executive Director of the National JFON will be speaking, as well as some people with powerful stories of how their lives have been impacted by the work of JFON.

We hope you will be a part of this celebration. Please consider purchasing a table for your congregation.  Come to the dinner, participate in the silent auction, and support the on-going transformation of lives through JFON and its programs.  Tickets are $30/each or $200 for a table of eight.  If you have questions, call or text Diane Mackie at 413-575-3274 or email us at  If you want to purchase a table or single tickets, please make a check payable to “Urban Potential” and mail it to Urban Potential 361 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA 01108.  We hope to hear from you soon.

An additional way to support JFON in New England is to donate an item to the silent auction.  We are currently collecting new or like-new items such as antiques, sports equipment/jerseys, hand-crafted items, gift certificates, a vacation camp/condo for a weekend….use your imagination!  Items need to be received by November 1.  To donate items or for more information, please contact either Joy Mueller ( or Steve Hays (
