In Welcoming the Stranger, four undocumented monologists invite us to step into their shoes and walk their journey with them. Their four monologues will be read by special guest readers:
- Claudia Marchan, executive director for Northern Illinois JFON—serving the greater Chicago area—has an extensive background in community organizing and development.
- Arizona JFON Executive Director Alba Jaramillo is recognized throughout her state for her social activism. She also has her own theater company!
- Rev. Mark Salvación, executive director of our prospective JFON site in the Delaware Valley, is the pastor of Historic St. George's United Methodist Church in Old City, Philadelphia.
- Rev. Dr. Will Reed, board chair for Houston JFON, also serves as pastor for the First United Methodist Church, Pasadena, Texas.
Each monologue will be followed by a musical response from Uruguayan guitar soloist, Elisa Garcia.
Autobiographical monologues by Motus UndocuMonologists Tania Chairez, Alejandro Fuentes-Mena, Victor Galvan, and Cristian Solano-Cordova.
