  • NB SPOR NB SPOR PIHCI Network has hired a new Administrative Assistant, Johanna Burnham. Johanna will be working out of UNBSJ and she will be assisting in the administrative duties of this network! Welcome to the team, Johanna!   • Patient Engagement training is ongoing. The Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) is offering a CIHR certification program to build capacity for interdisciplinary research teams engaging patients that support the Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR).

    This training session involves three modules (each can stand alone): Patient-Oriented Research; Health Research in Canada; Building Partnerships & Consolidating Teams. Please check the MSSU website for registration.
  • Friday, March 24th, '17: Inter-Professional Health Research Day will be held March 24th, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. You can register here.
  • Thursday, April 6th, '17: Qualitative Health Research Group at UNB Saint John
    Commencing April 2017... In conjunction with the Jarislowsky Chair in Interprofessional Patient-Centred Care, UNBSJ has launched the Qualitative Health Research Group. The goal is to bring researchers, faculty, students and other stakeholders from across disciplines and sectors together to build qualitative research capacity in the Saint John area. First meeting to be:

  • April 24th and 25th, '17: The NB Policy Research Forum will offer presentations with a particular emphasis on the social determinants of health and will draw from the themes reflected in the World Health Organization’s Conference on the Social Determinants of Health in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2011. Registration can be found here.
  • Wednesday, May 31st, '17: The Trillium Primary Health Care Research Day will take place at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto. The conference is geared towards researchers, decision makers, patients and clinicians. More information can be found here.
  • June 1-2, '17: Primary Healthcare Partnership Forum (PriFor) will be held at the MUN Inco Innovation Center, St. John's, NL (please note the new location).
