Midnight Feast is a bold initiative that enables artists who experience significant physical, intellectual and emotional challenges to participate in the performing arts. We celebrate abilities not limitations. Our theatre explores humanity in all its diversity and challenges assumptions.

Hello Midnight Feasting Family.

It gives me the greatest pleasure to share that last Friday night we raised $17,095 thanks to the incredible generosity of The Bald Rock Hotel!!!

Thanks to everyone who came, ate sausages, bought raffle tickets, drank and were merry!!

The Bald Rock is a glorious pub owned by the incredibly generous Francey and Karen. Every month they host a fundraising BBQ to give to a charity or to support a worthy initiative in need of financial support. This month they chose US!

It was the most glorious event organised by our very own Midnight Feast support worker Kate Walker who also moonlights as a manager at The Bald Rock.

Special Thanks to:
– Young Henry’s for donating a keg from which the sales were given to Midnight Feast.
– Paul for donating his performance for the evening.
– Frankie Bouchier for delighting us with an exclusive world premiere of his original music.
– and our stunning choreographer Paul Cordeiro for entertaining us.

The pub was literally JUMPING!

“Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.”

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE for our next performance FIRESIDE in The Studio at The Sydney Opera House, 29th and 30th November 2018.

People sitting around a campfire at dusk, stars glittering above, talking about their dreams… One person dreams the world might be a better place… Another that people could be nicer but all Nina wants is a golden ticket…

FIRESIDE explores humanity in all its diversity, challenging assumptions and discovering the power of a small act of kindness.

BOOK NOW! All ticket sales go towards keeping our theatre company alive and thriving.

Nina lives on the north side of Sydney, originally coming from the inner west. Newtown probably gave her her style – generally hat on backwards and no bling! She also has a deadly sense of humour.

Her passion is performance and music. She has a huge collection of DVDs and a wardrobe, gathered from all over the place, that helps her get “in character” to watch them. She is a big fan of musicals from Disney to Oliver to Moulin Rouge and the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Nina also loves to dance. She was a member of the Merry Makers dance group from 2015 until 2010 with many performances in Sydney as well as shows in Adelaide, Brisbane and Disneyland LA.

She LOVES to sing and never lets a microphone opportunity pass her by. In 2008 she performed as back-up singer with a group of musicians in the Manly Youth Concert. In 2012 she won House With No Steps, House Idol with her performance of Beat It (it was the stunning air guitar that really won over the judges!). In 2018 she even led a local pub audience in a rendition of Tomorrow from Annie!

Nina loves the energy of hip hop. In 2008 she joined the newly formed First Flight Crew with Alison Richardson from Accessible Arts and Aussie B-Boy Morganics. The group wrote and performed their own material and were the face of the Don’t-Dis-My-Ability campaign in 2010.

She has been involved with drama groups for several years – Theamusart in Mosman and Once Upon a Time Theatre in Chatswood, performing each year in Mosman Community space and in the All the Worlds a Stage Disability Day event in Chatswood.

Nina became a member of Midnight Feast in 2017 and is excited to be rehearsing and having the opportunity to bring her stories into the plays in the excellent space at NIDA. (She also likes 5 star hotels!) She is looking forward to performing Fireside at the Opera House in November, with all her fans in attendance.
