Happy Friday!  Summer is here, and I hope you are getting to enjoy it.
Let me start with a few updates from our church family:
  • We want to congratulate Catharine and Colin Simpson and their families on the birth of their third child, Caleb Alexander.
  • We want to extend our congratulations to Judy and Willie Owens who are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 20th
  • We want to offer condolences to Hilda Mott’s on the passing of her sister, Marie Lord.  As well to the family of Vivian Cook, her funeral was on Wednesday.
Here are a few announcements and ministry updates:
  • Sunday we will be celebrating Father’s Day, and we will be joining with Keillor and Leineke Steeves as their daughter Holland is dedicated.
  • This past week, Pastor John started, the Parking Lot Pastor.  He and Jim Butler created a space for people to come and spend time in conversation.  They will continue to experiment with this over the summer months.
  • Sunday, June 28th, we will move to our Summer service hours, 10am.  We will keep this new worship time for the months of July and August.
  • On Monday night, we held our first online Board Meeting.  Your leadership have been working very hard so we can continue to provide significant ministry to people at this time.  Please pray that God would give us wisdom.
  • Interested in Baptism? We are going to be holding baptisms this summer, so if you are interested, please reach out to one of the pastors or the church office.
  • Three of our Summer Students started this week: Olivia Schyf, Shawn Stuart and Spencer Hetherington.
  • Finally, let me remind you of Pastor Matt’s Farewell event, Monday, June 22nd.  You can drive up to the church between 6 & 8pm and offer your words of thanks to Matt personally and we’d encourage you to bring a love offering.  Also, Monday night, we will post a Thank You video on our YouTube channel (where we host Sunday services). The video be available any time after 6pm but you do not need to watch the video before you come up to the church. It will keep it online for a few weeks.
I continue to pray that you would be discovering God’s kindness and provision during this time.  That you would discover, or rediscover a newness of prayer, scripture reading, and rest.  As the Holy Spirit prompts, reach out to one another, check-in with people, and as always, if we can help in anyway, please let us know!

We miss you,
