How to Read the Bible for All it’s Worth- Study
From time to time you may hear preachers use the term 'unpack' when they are about to go deeper into the scripture passage. The elective being offered teaches a method to do just that. It's based on the book "How to Read the Bible for All it's Worth" by Gordon D Fee and Douglas Stuart. This course will help you understand how to read and interpret the Scriptures, and is guaranteed to change your attitude on a few things. A must read for all Christians. This class will be offered Sunday mornings during the 11am service, starting this Sunday, and will be facilitated by Mike Albert.

We believe this starts with prayer. We invite you to come and join in a time of prayer for the needs of our church and city.

Mental Health Check In
This fall we are going to provide opportunities for you to do a mental health check in. We are creating spaces where we can receive some Christian instruction and practical helps on how to improve our mental health. These conversations will help us with issues many are facing.
, our first night, the topic will be “Why am I so angry?” Have you found yourself angry with groups, policies, people, coworkers or family members? Have you surprised yourself with how angry you have been? On this evening we will talk about this common reality and, as Christians, talk about some ways to deal with our anger. Our guest speaker for this will be Carolyn Westin. Carolyn is a professional counsellor based in Sackville, NB. The format for the evening is simple: Carolyn will share some helpful instruction, and then we will have a chance for questions and answers. When this is complete, people will be invited to break into groups and discuss the content and application further. For more information or to register go to www.rivercrosschurch.ca/connect
or call Marlee in the church office (642-8060).
We are looking for volunteers in a couple different ministries!
