Hey RiverCross family, here are some updates for you,
Our second Kids Summer Camp starts tomorrow, so please be praying for each home that will be participating. This camp has two days where children will be gathering in-person at RiverCross Church so pray for the leaders, interns and children as they enjoy this special time being back together again.
We are planning to have a BBQ with our 50+ group on Monday, August 24th
at 6:30 p.m. (rain date August 25th
) Everyone is asked to bring their lawn chairs and space themselves in their bubbles as they visit and enjoy a BBQ’d meal. Please reserve your space ahead of time by calling the church office. Cost is 10 dollars per person. If you’d like to attend you can register here
We are having a Portuguese worship service on Sunday, August 23rd
at 7 p.m. Our Portuguese community will be hosting this worship service for any Portuguese speakers in the Saint John area. Please pray for this event and for everyone involved in it.
We have all been shocked by the tragedy in Lebanon. Canadian Baptist Ministries has a significant ministry in Lebanon and has people on ground helping with the response. To make a donation or learn more visit their site
Finally, a few updates on our church family,
- We want to congratulate Brittany & Mike Kelly on the birth of their son, Gavin James Kelly, born August 9th! Congratulations to grandparents Jim and Marj Shaw.
- We want to congratulate Rachel Kwan who met with the Examining Council on Monday and passed, meaning she can be ordained for Christian ministry from Midland Baptist Church on September 20th.
- We extend our condolences to Eric and Christine Raynes on the passing of Eric’s mother, who passed away on August 16th.
