October 7, 2020

GOOD Morning folks,

Happy October 7th. This day only happens once a year so let's celebrate it in a true Breeze fashion by giving you fun, light, local news, a featured article, and a variety of upcoming events in the ole Oil City.

In today's newsletter, learn about a potential renaming of the Casper Events Center, check out the proposed improvements for a downtown parking lot (good news for food trucks), and get your ticket for the "hauntingly inspired" Foundation Friday event to raise money for cancer care across the state. Kelly's featured article of the day is on the Beacon Club. Don't forget to vote for David Street Station today and check out the KOLARS concert tonight hosted by ARTCORE.

The weather today is expected to be a comfy 79°F with a dash of sun and an 8 mph breeze.

Have a great October 7th!

Local Business Highlight:
The Beacon Club

Good morning, dear friends. Kelly writing to you.

I'm bringing another exciting highlight on a business in our community. This one is probably more suitable to those who are old enough to drink and/or gamble but they have awesome food that you should definitely look into bringing home to the kids.

So what exactly does the Beacon have? What makes them the most elite western dance hall in central Wyoming?

As it says on their Facebook page, "Come sneakin' to the Beacon."

What can you find here?

As you may have seen in our calendar, they have free country swing lessons tonight! They also host karaoke every Tuesday, Trivia Night on Thursdays, and various concerts on the weekends. Check out the full calendar here.

You can also find Wyoming Horse Racing, gambling, drinks, and delicious food at the Beacon. Read more about the food below.

Do they just have bar food?

Philly's Steak n' Company provides the yummy food that is available at The Beacon Club. As you can see in the name, their specialty is Philly cheese steaks. Let me tell you, this is one of the few places around here that offers authentic Philly cheese steaks.

Don't worry if you're not a fan of Philly cheese steaks, they also have a full menu of other meals including nachos, a diverse array of fries, grilled cheese, pizza, and many other things. Check out the full menu here.

Looking for a fun night out with your significant other? Look no further.

You can't beat the price of free. I know, not everyone is into dancing, but country swing is SO FUN! Take your date out to the Beacon tonight from 7:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. for a lively night of country swing and/or line dance.

You can find The Beacon Club at 4100 W. Yellowstone Hwy. in Mills, WY. If you'd like to find more information on them, check out their Facebook page and website.
