We are now at red in New Zealand's traffic light system because Omicron has entered the community and is spreading around the country. Our campervan trip is booked for a couple of week's time. No one could tell me what would happen to Molly if we got Covid and couldn't get home (can't imagine a kennel would take her) so we cancelled the North Island trip (you can't travel between islands, so we would be stranded). Instead we'll be doing a loop around the South Island. In the meantime we're going to try not to get Covid as we are due our boosters when we are away. This means lots of alfresco activities like swimming and sitting outside at the café. Molly thinks this is great.

PS. We went to the Catlins, in the deep south of NZ last week. We couldn't take Molly, but I did get to swim with dolphins every day. I wonder what she would have thought of that.
