Are you ready to have an impact? Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Last year you helped raise over $18,000 for Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud. That was enough to feed eight seniors for a year. This year our goal for Colorado Gives day is $22,360. Help us meet that goal to fully fund a year of meals for 10 seniors!

Join the fun and visit our Colorado Gives page to make a pledge today!
Help us hit our goal of funding a year of meals for 10 seniors!

Thank you for all the gifts that have been pouring in for our Santa for Seniors program! We have received an amazing amount of beautiful blankets, cozy slippers, and some of the coolest socks!

If you would like to play Santa, you can still help! We are still accepting everything listed in our original Santa for Seniors! blog post

Some special items we would still love to give are:
  • memory foam pillows
  • safety heating pads
  • magnifying glasses (especially ones with lights)
  • can openers for people with arthritis
  • pet beds or toys
  • as well as more slippers!
Please drop gifts off at our office any weekday. We are always here between 8am - 4pm, but if those times don’t work, give me a call (970-667-0311) and I will be happy to be flexible for you.

On a personal note...

This may sound cliche given the time of year, but I am so thankful for all of our awesome volunteers! On Monday as I was helping drivers load turkeys to deliver along with meals I asked Cheryl if she hand any to deliver, and her route had six. I knew that was the most turkeys on any single route, so I thanked her for her help. As we loaded them along with bags of fixings into her car, I noticed she was almost giddy with excitement. She said she was excited to be able to deliver all these turkeys to her clients today and thanked me.

Cheryl was thanking me for letting her deliver another 150 pounds of food!

Oh did I mention, she was filling in? Her typical day to drive is Thursday, but due to a volunteer being ill, Cheryl jumped and helped getting a call to be a substitute at 10am.

I am so thankful for our volunteers! They are truly amazing.

Have a great Thanksgiving week!
