Technical Assistance: Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) Eligibility
BPC - The Statewide EE Best Practices Coordinator is pleased to share a brief response to a recent Technical Assistance Request on the topic of Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) Eligibility. If you're interested in knowing whether your public agency facilities qualify for recently expanded incentives for energy storage, these tips and resources may help.
UC Davis - Moving UC Davis toward a carbon-neutral future is kind of a big deal. And the construction project that is literally laying the groundwork to help the campus get there is big, too. In fact, we call it the Big Shift — a multiyear project on the Davis campus to shift to a new source of energy to heat most campus buildings.
New Republic - Budgets are about to get tight. States and cities should direct money to programs that truly make communities more secure. As the state faces a pandemic-driven budget crisis, the programs that cap-and-trade revenue funds—including climate and environmental justice programs, investing in jobs and climate mitigation in black and brown communities—could now be at risk.
LBNL -The estimated cost of saving natural gas during the study period is $0.40 per therm. The analysis also includes estimates of the program administrator cost of saved energy for three core sectors for natural gas: commercial and industrial, residential, and low-income households. It aggregates these sectors to provide regional and national values.

SEEC Announcements

As the SEEC program sunsets, this survey is designed to capture the perspective and experiences of local government practitioners that have participated in SEEC programs and resources, as well as to gain insight into ongoing local energy and climate needs. While there will not be dedicated funding to support ongoing activities of SEEC after 2020, the organizations that have administered SEEC continue to remain committed to pursuing resources to provide the most valuable ongoing or new services in energy efficiency, climate action planning, and sustainable solutions. Take the survey.
