Mellanie Szereto's Love Letters!

Spring is almost here! I'm looking forward to flowers, leaves on the trees, and warmer weather. It also means I'll be heading to Ohio for some hiking and exploring! Even though I've lived in Indiana for almost 26 years, the Buckeye State will always be home to me.
Home and family are strong themes in the Love on the Menu...Steamed trilogy as Lindie, Layla, and Lee Anne discover the value of true love and sisters. This series is best when read in order, so be sure to pick up Egging Her On, if you haven't already, while taking advantage of the sale price for Sweetening Her Up! And Reeling Her In is coming soon!
Reviews are greatly appreciated! Did you know your simple "I liked it!" review helps other readers find new authors?

Erik Fielding is successful in every way, except in his quest to find a wife. When a former lover reappears in his life, the temptation to indulge in a red-hot reunion is more than he can resist. But falling for her may cost a part of himself he hadn’t counted on—his heart.
Layla Krause has a promise to keep to her recently deceased mother—meet the half-sister she didn’t know she had. Crossing paths with the man she’d helped through his grief in college offers an unexpected perk to spending a month getting to know her newfound sibling. The outlet he provides is balm to her body and soul.
Long dormant sparks between Erik and Layla become a raging fire, but the secrets she hides could do more damage than the flames from their attraction. He’ll have to sweeten the deal to get her out of a self-imposed jam.

Reeling Her In
Bachelor Russ Novotny is starting over—new location, new IT venture, new sports car to replace the staid sedan his girlfriend took when she left him. A swap of his computer expertise for fish to stock his lake lands him in a different kind of hookup, one that does wonders for his wounded ego.
Divorcee Lee Anne Terrell is happy to indulge in a no-strings affair with her handsome computer geek while she gets to know her newfound half-sisters and opens Reel Time Bait and Stock. Unfortunately, her biology degrees didn’t prepare her for the unexpected evolution of hot-and-heavy sexual attraction into heart-stopping love.
But an ocean stands between them when they share their true feelings. He won’t settle for less than marriage and she’s vowed never to marry again. The most important catch of his life may prove impossible to reel in, even when she’s already taken the bait.

Recipe and Giveaway!
I love squash—zucchini, summer squash, butternut, acorn, spaghetti—and use them in many of my recipes. Some of my favorites are Butternut Squash Pie, Whole Grain Squash Pancakes, and Squash and Mushroom Enchiladas.
In Sweetening Her Up, Layla prepares Butternut Squash Butter, replacing pumpkin with squash. Check out the recipe below!
Question: What’s your favorite squash?
Send your answer to by midnight (EDT) on March 31, 2018, and you're entered to win a $10 Amazon gift card!
Butternut Squash Butter
1 large butternut squash (about 6 lbs.)
½ c. cane sugar
1 c. apple cider
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. allspice

Cut squash in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Place cut side down on a rack in a baking pan and bake at 425° for 1 hour or until very soft. Cool slightly. Scoop out flesh and mash. Combine with sugar, cider, and spices in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium to medium-low heat until thickened, about 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Store in the refrigerator or process in canning jars. Makes about 4 cups.
