NOTICE OF DATE CHANGE

Please take note that the dates for the second National Biogas Conference on-line event have moved from 14th & 15th July to 28th & 29th July 2021. The event will focus on understanding and mitigating financial risk with biogas project development and implementation.

After a successful 1st Event (Transitioning towards a decarbonised circular economy), SABIA have partnered with DiBiCoo (Digital global Biogas Corporation) for this second of three events.

The agenda will take the form of various sessions for about two and a half hours followed by an optional networking opportunity at the end of each day.

GREEN CAPE - CLIMATE FINANCE ACCELERATOR
The British High Commission, together with National Business Initiative (NBI) and GreenCape, has launched a Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) programme in South Africa. The CFA is a practical and deal-oriented programme that supports climate projects to improve their bankability and appeal to financiers. This is a local technical assistance programme funded by the UK government that aims to unlock climate finance for climate change mitigation Projects.

Call for Proposals:
 
A call for proposals is now open for low carbon projects seeking finance. Developers with low-carbon projects looking for funding are invited to apply to take part in the CFA South Africa. It is important to note, although there is a minimum total financing need of US$10M, smaller projects may be considered in certain circumstances. Furthermore, funds or similar structures consisting of multiple smaller projects are also welcomed. The CFA is open for applications from climate projects seeking support in accessing finance until 2nd July 2021. For more information, please follow the link.

RSA local stakeholder workshop


There is an increasing need for businesses to reduce and secure their energy requirements, improve water efficiency and reduce and beneficiate their waste streams generated as a result of the current crises in energy, water and landfill airspace.

This workshop will share the current market and legislative framework of the biogas sector in South Africa as a part of the EU Horizon 2020 funded Digital Global Biogas Cooperation (DiBiCoo) project. Attendees will have an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the biogas market landscape and provide feedback and insight on their own experiences related to the content presented.

The World Biogas Summit


It's all about methane - organic wastes, recovery and recycling


The World Biogas Summit is an online conference for you to discover, learn and do business. The Summit will consider the models and mechanisms that are being employed by municipalities, governments and major global corporations around the world to tackle the climate crisis in the most cost-effective way.

Renewable Energy Tanzania
