Welcome to ET4U's newsletter where you can read about the video and performance project MEETINGS and what happens during the MEETINGS Festival 1.-10. September 2017.

MEETINGS is a video and performance project taking place in the 7 municipalities (Herning, Lemvig, Struer, Holstebro, Ringkøbing-Skjern, Ikast-Brande og Skive) included in the Cultural Collaboration in Central and West Jutland in 2016-2019.
During the 4-year period, we invite international contemporary artists for shorter or longer residences in the Central and West Jutland area to produce a number of videos and performances dealing with, taking place in, and produced in collaboration with the Central and West Jutland area - an artistic look at the area seen from the outside. The project will be a manifestation and development of the area's identity through the production and presentation of art works created by artists in collaboration with the area.
The project will have 2 festivals - 1.-10. September 2017 and 30. August - 8. September 2019 – where we will show the produced works among other things. We will also seek to exchange and show the produced works elsewhere.

The association ET4U in collaboration with a wide variety of other associations and institutions organizes MEETINGS. The Culture Agreement for Central and West Jutland 2015-2018 (The Ministry of Culture), Central Denmark Region, European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017, Lemvig Municipality, The Obel Family Foundation and The Danish Arts Foundation support MEETINGS.
TIME, SITE & LORE is an OFF ROAD collaboration between 4 culture-historical museums, 5 Central and West Jutland localities, 5 international artists and ET4U about an artistic interpretation of selected museum objects or stories - contemporary art at the intersection of museological knowledge and local lore.
Five artists have been on a short research trip to Central and West Jutland in October 2016 and based on this they have each created a video on a selected museum piece. The video works are shown at the respective museums during the OFF ROAD Festival 11. April to 6. May 2017, and during the video and performance festival MEETINGS 1.-10. September the videos will be shown both on the sites from which the museum objects originate, and again at the museums.

Video project in Staby
The two French artists Anne Loubet and Sophie-Charlotte Gautier from Marseille have been on two residencies in Staby in 2016, a couple of weeks in June and a couple of weeks in November. They were staying with two different families and felt very welcome in Staby. It was two very intensive residencies where they went duck hunting and deer hunting with some of the locals, went for a night orienteering with Husby Efterskole (continuation school) among lots of other things. They tried to get a broad-spectred impression of Staby and they returned with piles of video material that they are now editing into a new video work. This video work will be shown for the first time in Staby during the MEETINGS Festival 1.-10. September 2017.
