Hello <<First Name>>,
I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather we've been having of late, it has really lifted the spirits of both man and beast, and hopefully it will still be nice sunny and warm when this EWESletter arrives in your inbox.
In this EWESletter, there are the regular features of sheep and yarn of the month, and as the discount code seemed to be very popular, there is another code this month solely for you lovely people who subscribe to the EWESletter.
The show season is now upon us, Hawkshaw Sheep, has quite a busy year ahead. Here is  a list of confirmed venues and dates of shows we will be attending.
Woolfest 23rd +24th June, Cockermouth auction mart.
British wool show, 10th +11th August, York auction centre, Murton.

Then later on in the year we will be at these shows.
Perth Festival Of Yarn 8th +9th September, Dewars Centre, Perth.
Bakewell Wool Gathering,13th+14th October, Bakewell Agricultural Centre, Bakewell.
Kendal Wool Gathering, 27th+28th October, Kendal Leisure Centre, Kendal.
At Woolfest 2018 the Hawkshaw Sheep business will be celebrating it's 1st birthday, and I thought I should celebrate, so for the first 50 people to visit the stand on Friday and Saturday there will be CAKE, some of it will be gluten free, so everyone can join in and celebrate with me.
By the time you read this EWESletter I will have finished lambing, considering the awful weather we endured this last winter, the sheep have coped incredibly well, there were far more sets of twins than I would have liked, on a hill farm single lambs stand a much better chance of surviving through to adulthood, than twins do.
Sheep ( Alpaca ) of the month.
Sheep of the month turns into alpaca of the month, for one month only.
Pegasus, is an entire white huacaya alpaca, he is 5 years old, we got him when he was just 6 months old.
Unfortunately he is definitely not as cuddly as he looks, if you tried to cuddle him, he would either spit at you, bite you or kick you! Like last months Wensleydale sheep, he needs to be given feed and hay all winter, along with a place to shelter from the wet weather, dry cold frosty weather doesn't bother him.
He has the most fabulous soft fleece, and when clipped there is masses of it, it's like a big white fluffy cloud.
In 2016 Pegasus's fleece was blended with Shetland and Wensleydale fleece, to produce a batch of yarn called Storm Clouds. In 2017 his fleece was used on its own to create Full Moon a 100% Alpaca yarn, which is this months featured yarn of the month.
Yarn of the month
This months yarn of the month is Full Moon, created from 100% Alpaca fleece, from Pegasus, our alpaca.
This yarn is super, super soft, it has been spun semi worsted in 4 ply, by the Border Mill in Duns, Scotland. This yarn has been grown and processed entirely in Scotland, so it can claim to be a 100% Scottish Yarn.
Full Moon can be used for anything that requires softness, baby items would be ideal, but scarves, hats and cowls would be wonderful made up from it.
It is available in 100g and 50g skeins, although the 100g skeins are extremely limited in quantity.

As last months discount code proved to be popular with EWESletter subscribers, I thought I would treat you again this month. So to claim your 10% off discount code for Full Moon yarn, apply the code FULLMOON10 before check out, this code is only valid until 10/07/2018 and is a single use code. Head over to the website for more information.
