Renesas RZ/Five New General-Purpose MPUs
Based on 64-Bit RISC-V CPU Core 

On March 1, 2022, Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE:6723), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced their new RZ/Five general-purpose microprocessor units (MPUs) built around a 64-bit RISC-V CPU core. Renesas’ senior vice president and head of SoC in its IoT and infrastructure business unit, Hiroto Nitta, said, “I am delighted that Renesas is among the first to announce a general-purpose MPU built around a 64-bit RISC-V CPU core from Andes. With the introduction of the RZ/Five MPUs along with ecosystem support, Renesas is taking the lead in providing RISC-V solutions ahead of the market.”

Andes Partners with IFS to Provide Leading Edge RISC-V CPU IP To SoC Designers Using Intel's State-of-the-Art Foundry Services

On February 7, 2022– Andes Technology Corporation announced that it had joined the IP Alliance of Intel Foundry Services (IFS) Accelerator program. Now, designers building Andes-embedded RISC-V SoCs will have access to Intel Foundry Services’ leading-edge technology to provide increased, power-efficient performance. Andes Technology Announces over 10 Billion Cumulative Shipments of Andes-Embedded SoCs and Records All-Time High Annual and Quarterly Revenue in 2021

On March 8, 2022 – Andes Technology Corp., announced a remarkable record of 3 billion annual SoC shipments containing its CPU IPs in 2021 at an annual growth rate over 50%. Since inception, cumulative shipments have surpassed 10 billion. Andes has achieved sustainable revenue growth since the company went public in 2017.

For the full fiscal year ended December 31, 2021, the company reported revenue of TWD 819.78 million, compared to TWD 581.01 million the last year. Net profit amounted to TWD 161.67 million compared to TWD 35.14 million in the previous year. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.59 compared to TWD 0.82 in the prior year. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations amounted to TWD 3.59 compared to TWD 0.82 the previous year. Andes Technology Is the First RISC-V Vendor to Accomplish ISO 26262 Functional Safety ASIL D Development Process Certification with SGS-TÜV Saar
On February 15, 2022, Andes Technology Corp. announced it has been certified to be compliant to the requirements of ISO 26262 standards for the development of automotive functional safety processor cores. SGS-TÜV Saar GmbH, as a functional safety certification body, had independently assessed and declared that Andes Technology’s systematic capability is up to the highest certification level of Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) D on the standards including all applicable parts 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 of ISO 26262. According to the official records, Andes is the first RISC-V processor IP vendor to receive process certifications for both Hardware (ISO 26262-5) and Software (ISO 26262-6) in December 2020.
