December 18th, 2021
Greetings, everyone -
It is with a heavy heart that I write to let you know that in order to respond to the recent surge of COVID cases in Ottawa, our Diocese has suspended in-person worship in parishes in the City of Ottawa as of Monday, December 20th, 2021. Click here to read the Communique from the Bishop's Office.
We will gather tomorrow for our 10 a.m. Eucharist to celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent, with increased restrictions, including the suspension of congregational singing. Even though we cannot sing as a congregation, we look forward to the gift of music from the choir. We will follow distancing protocols, and be masked at all times, except when receiving Communion, which will be administered in one kind (bread only).
The Contemplative Eucharist scheduled for 1:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon is CANCELLED.
While we will not be able to gather for our Christmas services, we are still a people of the Incarnation. God is with us, especially in these pandemic days, and while we cannot be with each other in our beloved sanctuary, we are still with each other in spirit, as the community of St. Luke's. Know that I am holding each of you in my heart and surrounding you all with love and prayers.
Please feel free to be in touch with any questions, and I will keep in touch as things continue to unfold.
Blessings to you,
The Reverend Victoria Scott
