Dear <<First Name>>,

Today, all fifty states celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose message is just as relevant today as it was in the 60s. Peace…unity…and the belief that love trumps hate every time.

Since last Thursday, our community has been celebrating a variety of events aimed at preserving the message and legacy of Dr. King, including car parades today on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton.

If you weren’t able to catch the events, you can still participate. As Martin Luther King Jr. stated, “The time is always right to do what is right.” Today, we encourage you to do just that. Be kind. Pay for the coffee of someone behind you in line. Volunteer your time for others in need. Choose to keep scrolling past the negative news and social comments. It’s the small details that make up our days that honor the legacy of one of the giants of our American story.

Small acts of kindness can truly change a community and a nation. Today is a day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the spirit of generosity and encouragement.

Taste Of The Lowcountry Silent Auction
February 20-March 8

For Foodie February this year, your chamber is introducing a Taste of the Lowcountry silent auction in tandem with Chamber Restaurant Week (February 20-27). The auction will showcase experiences such as cooking lessons, wine dinners, private parties, and more!

Help us support our local restaurants. Instead of asking restaurants to donate, we are asking local businesses to sponsor a culinary experience. Your business will be listed alongside your sponsored restaurant on the Chamber Restaurant Week landing page as well as the silent auction bidding page.

If you'd like to sponsor an experience, please click on the link below. Questions? Contact Cathy Havens at
