Welcome to Celebrating the Path of Grace
Laura Collins
Inviting our Roots
(all sing)
"Day by Day"
Day by day, day by day,
O, dear Lord, three things I pray:
To see thee more clearly,
Love thee more dearly,
Follow thee more nearly,
Day by day
Calling of the Spirit from the Sacred Directions
Yona FrenchHawk
Song to Celebrate the Path of Grace
(feeding the hungry)
"Ripple"
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better left unsung
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full, may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of men
There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go, no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall, you fall alone
If you should stand, then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home
La da da da…
(w/m: garcia/hunter)

Laura Collins
Singing & Sharing a Holy Peace
"Get Ready, My Soul"
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
To the deepest kind of love
To the sweetest kind of life
Get ready
Get ready, My soul
Everything I've ever done
Everything I've ever seen
Everything I've lost or won
Everything I've ever dreamed
Has brought me here:
To the present moment,
Here: To a new beginning,
Here: And I'm seeing life so clearly now
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
To the deepest kind of love
To the sweetest kind of life
Get ready
Get ready, My soul
(w/m Daniel Nahmod)
LEARNING
Reading
Jay Joslin
Matthew 7:1-5
Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgement you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, “Let me take the speck out of your eye”, while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.
Jordan Peterson, 12 Rules for Life
What if it was the case that the world revealed whatever goodness it contains in precise proportion to your desire for the best? What if the more your conception of the best has been elevated, expanded and rendered sophisticated the more possibility and benefit you could perceive? This doesn’t mean you can have what you want merely by wishing it, or that everything is interpretation, or that there is no reality. The world is still there with its structures and limits. As you move along with it, it cooperates or objects. But you can dance with it, if your aim is to dance-and maybe you can even lead if you have enough skill and grace.
Reader: This is ancient wisdom and holy word.
People: Thanks be to all that is wise and holy.
Reader: All creation is wisdom and holy word.
People: All creation sings of wisdom and god. Hallelujah!

Dedicating Our Gifts to God
(all sing)
"Blue Boat Home"
Sun, my sail and moon, my rudder
As I ply the starry sea
Leaning over the edge in wonder
Casting questions into the deep
Drifting here with my ship s companions
All we kindred pilgrim souls
Making our way by the lights of the heavens
In our beautiful blue boat home
(words: Peter Mayer/music: Pritchard)
BLESSING
Benediction for the path of humility ahead...
(all sing)
"For the Beauty of the Earth"
For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies, over and around us lies,
Lord of all to thee we raise,
this our joyful hymn of praise
(words: F.S. Pierpoint / music: John Rutter)

This Week's Quotes
I do not at all understand the mystery of grace----only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.
~ Anne Lamott, Traveling Mercies
The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn't have been complete without you. Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. I am with you. Nothing can ever separate us. It's for you I created the universe. I love you.
~ Frederick Buechner, Listening to Your Life
Experiencing the present purely is being empty and hollow; you catch grace as a man fills his cup under a waterfall.
~ Annie Dillard, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
Mystery
in whose depths I find healing
and myself; enfold me now
in your presence;
restore to me your peace;
renew me through your power;
and ground me in your grace.
~ Ted Loser, Guerrillas of Grace
