Happy Sunday!
I hope your Sunday has started off great (of course, there's this newsletter to do the trick).

On Wednesday, I asked what your plans for 2019 are. Well, I'm super excited about how promising 2019 looks for the forLoop Africa Community. With new family units in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Morocco pretty soon, we're gonna go ooooffff! Watch this space!

Meanwhile, here's today's gist,

+ PHP 7.3 has been released. This version release marks the 3rd update to the v7 series. Some of the new and improved features included in the 7.3 are flexible Heredoc and Nowdoc syntax, PCRE2 migration, improved FPM logging, and more. Check out the release notes to see more.

+ Preact 8.4 has been released. The Javascript library's new version packs a few feature updates. Some are faster component mounting, support for Ref(), and lots of TypeScript improvements. Find out more here.

+ Microsoft has announced that they'll be making more open source moves with the Microsoft Edge browser by moving it to the OSS Chromium engine. This step was made in a bid to improve web experiences by making Microsoft Edge and other browsers better on Windows PCs and mobile devices. Read all about it here.

+ GitHub has launched emojis 😎. You can now express yourself in fitting emojis for those reaction-provoking projects that are beyond words.
Check it out.

+ If you're a GraphQL user or enthusiast, the videos from the GraphQL Summit 2018 are now live. If you're not sure what to start with, here are highlights of the event written by the Apollo Co-founder, Matt DeBergalis, to help you.
