Gardening DIY SOS
On Tuesday, the Gardening Club pupils worked alongside their parents on an DIY SOS Garden Project. The school garden pathway has started to be rel-aid, with a giant pebbled Union Flag for the Jubilee. Recycled House Pallet herb planters were constructed and fixed to the garden wall. A decking area has been constructed, the starting point for a mud kitchen for our Nursery pupils. A Bug hotel has been constructed so pupils in Lower Primary can see what bugs there are as part of their Micro beast curriculum topic. It was a massive effort and Mr Devincenzi-Clemens could not have achieved this without the generous support from the parents.

Jubilee Celebrations
From Nursery to Year 6, we all enjoyed right royal Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Princes and Princesses in Nursery and Foundation Stage picnicked on the patio, Years 1 – 6 performed Jubilee songs before enjoying street parties and royal themed activities.
It was a wonderful start to this special Jubilee holiday!
As part of Year 1’s history work on famous historical figures, we looked at the life of Queen Elizabeth II. To bring this to life and to welcome parents back to school, much needed after the Covid period, we felt compelled to honour the Queen during her Platinum Jubilee year through our assembly.
We identified important events and dates in our Queen's life and met important people such as Prince Philip, her father King George VI and her heirs to the throne. We finished by singing the National Anthem.
The pupils gave every effort to produce their best performances and produced something wonderful. We are so very proud of them!
