Transition Days
At the start of this week those Year 6 pupils who will be attending our local Secondary Schools next year went along to experience taster days. Prior Park school offered two days where pupils spoke to key members of the school community, experienced lessons, and were able to familiarise themselves with the school surroundings. They ended with a BBQ for pupils, parents and staff. Pupils who went to Bayside school for enjoyed a tour of the school, Julianne saying "it was a massive school". The pupils participated in taster lessons, including Science where they made a rainbow with sugar.

Faith Diary
Today’s reading from St. Paul speaks to us of freedom and of the importance of using that freedom not to do wrong, but to serve each other in love. In the Gospel Jesus shows us how we are to do this by his example as he sets out to Jerusalem. He knows the fate that awaits him when he gets there, and he knows that He will be reviled and rejected on the way, but nevertheless, He ‘resolutely determined to journey to Jerusalem’. Though this gospel may seem harsh to us, Jesus is reminding us that only great personal sacrifice and total commitment to His teachings and example will make us ‘fit for the Kingdom of God’.

Jimena Trip
The Year 5 pupil's enjoyed an outing to the animal reserve 'La Pequena Africa' in Jimena' where they enjoyed being surrounded by many animals it many animals walking around freely. They crossed paths paths with Deer, Emu's, Lama's Goats, Peacocks and some very big dogs to name a few. They also enjoyed watching some animals behind their enclosures such as Zebra's, Camels, Lions, birds of prey and a very shy kangaroo. Packed into this busy day full of activities they also enjoyed archery, a horse ride, kayaking, pedal boats and finally an exhilarating zip line across the pond. All in all, a very full and enjoyable day had by both children and teachers alike.
