Happy Winter Solstice ~ celebrating longer days & the sun's return ~

The Sunshine Coast Community Solar Association wishes everyone a joyful holiday season and a sunny and bright 2022!

Cody Kelso and his mom Megan, completed "Climb for Climate Change", a 115 km walk for the SPCA and BCSEA this past year raising over $30,000 to go towards solar panels for the Sechelt SPCA and the 'Cool it' program for the BCSEA. They were so inspired by the support they received, that they plan a new fundraiser to help two organizations (one local to the coast and one within BC). ~ Watch this space for details! ~ They are both very excited to be taking on this new challenge and look forward to meeting their fundraising goals again!

They are collecting bottles to help towards this new challenge. If you can help by donating bottles, please contact Megan at sunnycreeker@hotmail.com.

Following the dynamic talk given by Diana Sollner, BCSEA Board director, at the Solar Association AGM, it was decided to start a chapter here of the BC Sustainable Energy Association. The BCSEA is a grass roots organization working to transform BC to a low carbon economy by advocating for the sustainable production and use of energy at all levels of government.
