We got the grant! The SCCSA applied for a PICS (Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions) grant to hire a UBC, UNBC, SFU or UVic student to audit public buildings for energy efficiency. It would be great to find a student who has just completed a 3^rd or 4^th year of engineering, science or environmental studies who has a connection to the Sunshine Coast. If you know a student who might be interested in applying, please contact Gerry at: gpageau@dccnet.com

The successful student intern will be mentored by the SCCSA’s technical team and will carry out energy audits of the most promising buildings with the goal of developing projects prioritized by GHG reduction, operating cost reduction, installed cost, and estimated payback. Great community support for Cody & Megan's fundraising walk!

Team Kelso's walk from Gibsons to Powell River to raise money for a solar panel array on the roof of the SPCA roof in Wilson Creek kicks off on March 14th. Cody & Megan will be in Davis Bay around 12:45 pm; people with EVs are invited to come cheer them on. Honk or wave; people are requested to congregate safely and wear masks as we are following Covid-19 protocols.
