VIRTUAL MEETING FOR WORSHIP Every Sunday at 11am
Friends have been gathering virtually via Zoom since December to hold weekly Meetings for Worship. We've welcomed visiting Friends from across Baltimore Yearly Meeting and from as far away as Panama. One visitor joined us for their first-ever Quaker meeting...virtually!
If you'd like to join us on Sunday morning, please use the link below. This Zoom link will be effective for several weeks, so please bookmark this email.
We also hold space for those who aren't able to attend online, and keep them in our thoughts. Reaching out by phone is a great way to stay connected when online isn't the best option.
SPIRITUAL STATE OF THE MEETING 2020 Reflections kindly requested by January 31, 2021
Friends are asked to consider the queries below and submit, via email, their reflections on 2020's Spiritual State by the end of January. Please send those reflections to email@example.com
BYM Ministry & Pastoral Care has offered the following queries:
· How does Spirit prosper in your Meeting? How have you protected the Spirit this year?
· What are Friends doing to support one another? How have you addressed the conflicts that have arisen this year?
· What does spirituality mean to you and your Meeting? How does your Meeting reflect that? Has it been different or the same during 2020 with the coronavirus pandemic and discussions of racial equality, climate change, and the presidential election?

YFM ANTI-RACISM DISCUSSION GROUP Starting (virtually) Saturday, January 23 at 10:30 Meeting on the 4th Saturday of the Month from January - May
From January to May, YFM will host a series of virtual monthly discussions via Zoom that seek to act as a starting point in answering these questions. Using Dr. Amanda Kemp's book Say the Wrong Thing: Stories and Strategies for Racial Justice and Authentic Communityas our text, each of the five sessions will be anchored with one of Dr. Kemp's "Strategies of the H.E.A.R.T." From Dr. Kemp's website: "Part memoir and part social commentary, Dr. Amanda Kemp's short book provides insight and strategies for creating racial justice and a strong sense of shared community. Her voice is vulnerable and personal as she reflects on her own interracial relationship, parenting her Black teen-aged son, and making art in the age of Black Lives Matter. Her short essays leave you cheering and hopeful."
