Get active this week!

Hi <<First Name>>,

I’m Donna Fraser, and I’m a four time British Olympian. I’ll be your #17MinutesForMe team leader this week!

I started doing athletics when I was just 8 years old, and my career has taken me all around the world.

It’s been a journey with ups and downs, and I have always believed in looking after my mental and physical wellbeing together.

Today's Activity

Here's today's #17MinutesForMe challenge - why don’t you lace up your trainers and join me? If you'd prefer to just go for a 17-minute walk today, that's great too.

1) Warm up for a few minutes, walking/running outdoors or on the spot
2) 30 seconds of high knees (at walking pace, for an easier option)
3) Try a plank for 30-45 seconds, or whatever you can manage! (Try this on your knees for an easier option)
4) Do as many star jumps as you can in 30 seconds/1 minute (Take out the jump and just step out to the side for an easier option)
5) Break, and repeat!

If you’d like to try the seated activity, you’ll find it here. And if you'd like to make your challenge more difficult, try doing longer intervals of high knees, or reducing recovery time between intervals.

Don’t forget to share your selfies with me on social media!

Have fun,
Donna

PS. If you haven't already, remember to sign up a friend to #17MinutesForMe for a chance to win tickets to the first night of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics!
