Welcome to the 1st edition of The Clubhouse for 2019!

We’ve got lots of new and exciting things for the start of the year, including:

Club Officials T-Shirts available again, new coaching videos from Luke Madill and a poster to download and use to promote BMXA’s National Series to your members.

As usual we want to know the needs of your club and how can we help you, and if you are attending National Series Stage 1 at Sydney BMX Club, you can tell us this in person!

BMXA staff will be available for you to have a chat to or just come by and say hello to the face behind the voice when you ring up. Read more below...

BMXA wants to hear from our clubs and members - what you think about anything BMX!

Come and have a chat with Daniel, Toni or Sylvia from the BMXA office or just pop by and say hello.
But seriously... we know we don’t know everything, and we’d like to hear from our clubs and members.
We’ll have a BMXA Chat Desk set up in the same area as the Pro shops and food vendors at Stage 1 of the 2019 National Series at Sydney BMX Club on February 16-17.
We’ll be there:

  • Saturday -  from 10:30am to 12:30pm and 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
  • Sunday  - 11:00am to 12:30pm

Anyone who drops by for a chat will go into a draw for a box of BMXA goodies.
If you can’t spare the time but have something you’d like to tell us or suggest, we’ll have a suggestion box to put your idea into.
We look forward to seeing you!

Due to popular demand, BMXA has again made available our red Officials T-Shirt for all club level officials. The T-Shirt comes with the logos of BMXA and SportAUS.

We encourage all clubs to have their Club Officials looking the part by wearing a Club Official’s T-Shirt.
The cost of the T-shirt is $17.50 and clubs who would like a bulk order can contact BMXA directly.

A red officials cap is also available to order for $15.00.
How to Order? Log into your My BMXA members profile in the BMXA website and click on Member Shop across the top.

Don’t forget to have your coaches register to attend BMXA’s 2019 Coaching Clinic when it comes to your state. The clinics are free and aim to assist coaches with their coaching of BMX skills.
Attendance at the clinics also counts for Trainee Level 1 coaching hours and as from January 1 2019, attendance at a clinic in the last 2 years of a coaching accreditation is required to meet re-accreditation criteria.

Clinics in other states will be available for registration six weeks before the national series stage in your state.

Luke Madill has developed a series of coaching tips to assist coaches with teaching and coaching a range of BMX skills. The skills covered include beginner tips, gate starts, pumping, manualing, jumping and cornering.
The videos can be found on the BMXA website under Coaching Videos or on the BMXA App under BMXA Coaching Tips or at the BMXA YouTube Channel - HERE
