Masters Swimming WA Office Closed
The Masters Swimming WA office at HBF Stadium is currently closed to all visitors, as we are moving to a new office space.
The new office will be located at the WA Rugby Centre in Floreat. We will let you know when we are set up and open to visitors again. In the interim, we are contactable via email, social media, and mobile. Our PO Box will remain the same. Thank you for your patience during the transition, and we look forward to welcoming you all to the new space soon!

Ladies Only - Couch to 2k Cannington
Kareena Preston will be coaching the WOMEN ONLY 4 week Live Lighter Couch to 2k Clinic in collaboration with Swim Sisters Perth that aims to help you be more confident in the water and improve your technique and endurance.
This particular clinic is best suited to women who are fairly new to swimming, but who already know the basic strokes.
The Thursday night 1 hour sessions will be 6.30PM-7.30PM at Cannington Leisureplex on the 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th of August.

Australian Masters Games Perth
Swimming will make a splash at HBF Stadium this October 9 - 11 for the Australian Masters Games (AMG). Spots are filling up fast, with less than 100 days to go until the competition kicks off.
Discounted early bird entry fees close on July 30. Register now to claim the best price. All participants receive a kit bag featuring exclusive AMG merchandise, and the opportunity to attend social events at incredible venues like Optus Stadium, and Perth Museum.
All races will compete over the long course format (50m), and medals will be awarded for each age group, gender and event. Minimum age is 18 years. Masters Swimming Australia rules apply. There will be the opportunity to set records at this event.

Setting Records at Non-Masters Events
Did you know that you are able to set records at some non-Masters Swimming events? The Masters Swimming Australia Rules state that Masters swimmers can potentially set records at eligible swim meets conducted by any Affiliated Associations – for example Swimming WA.

Maida Vale LiveLighter 1500m Distance Swim
When: Saturday 21st August 2021
Time: Warm-up 12:30 – Start 1.00 – 5.00pm
Where: Darling Range Sports College, 117 Berkshire Rd, Forrestfield (Indoor, Heated, 25m Pool)
Distance: 1500m Choice of Stroke – Short Course
Nomination/Entry fee: $10 per swimmer (Includes commission)
Swimmers are to enter and pay direct to MySwimResults.

Club Conference
Has your club committee nominated delegates to attend the 2021 Club Conference? Registration is essential.
The objective of the conference is for clubs to go away with the tools to be the best club that they can be. This event will feature specialist speakers, breakout activity groups and general club discussions.

Club Coach Accreditation & Reaccreditation
The Masters Swimming Australia Online Club Coaching Course and Accreditation Program was launched in June 2021 on the new learning management platform, Dita Solutions, and there are already 40 coaches working through the modules.
The processes for accreditation, reaccreditation and professional development are now easier than ever with courses available fully online so you can complete them when and where it suits you.
Courses available include:
- Bridging Course to Full Club Coach Accreditation - $50
- Club Coach Accreditation - $150
- Application for Reaccreditation - FREE
- Coach Professional Development - $100

National Member Portal & Appointment
Our own WA staff member Tarquin has been appointed as the Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator with Masters Swimming Australia. In this casual role Tarquin will assist the National Branch to populate the member portal with content. Tarquin will continue to work for MSWA too.
If you were not already aware, the Masters Swimming Australia Member Portal is already live and accessible. The Portal is a work in progress and will improve over time. If there is anything you'd like to see on the portal please feel free to send Tarquin an email at communications@mswa.asn.au.

LiveLighter Country Correspondence Carnival
The LiveLighter Country Correspondence Carnival (CCC) meet is open to all affiliated country Masters Clubs and their members. The meet will be conducted in the months of July to September 2021 by Masters Swimming WA under Masters swimming rules.

Play it, Live it, Love it! at the 12th Pan Pacific Masters Games on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia on 5 – 14 November 2021.
The Gold Coast’s famous celebration of masters sport will showcase competition in more than 40 sports at some of the best sporting facilities on the planet and feature an amazing entertainment program at the Games Village.
