5th Anniversary Fall Garden Party
Join Us For an Evening of Celebration!

Join as as we celebrate our 5th anniversary, show appreciation for our gardeners, and give thanks for another successful harvest season!

Friday, October 26
6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Tualatin Food Pantry

Appetizers and beverages will be available, with a nutritious garden theme. We will also be handing out garlic and shallots for all guests who are interested in planting these fall crops. What a nice treat to harvest next spring!

We are so thankful for over 3,300 pounds of produce that was donated by NNC gardeners this harvest season. Join us as we recognize our gardeners and business partners who have helped us grow and nourish families. Over the last 5 years we have donated 12,200 lbs of food!

NNC Awarded Wall Service Award

We're excited to announce that NNC was awarded the Wall Service Award (grant) from Grinnell College. It is given to an alumni (Chad Darby) for a community project of outstanding merit. This year the $30,000 award was given to support building a commercial greenhouse at Bridgeport Elementary School. This will serve as an outdoor, year-round classroom and will provide produce

through the winter months for the student backpack program, a program in which students are sent home on weekends with a backpack of food to ensure they have something to eat while away from school. The backpack program, which supports about 10% of the school population, will now have more fresh food.

Neighbors Nourishing Communities (NNC) is an organization of neighbors gardening to raise fresh produce for local families in need of food support. We provide plants, seeds, instruction and site consultations in exchange for 20% of the produce raised.
