New Things Happening in This Mission

Jesus Club is proud to announce that two new Jesus Club’s will be beginning in 2017. Troy Wilson is heading up the Northern Beaches club which will open in May this year. It has been encouraging to see how the churches - St Faith's Narrabeen and Holy Trinity Beacon Hill  are cooperating to raise up this ministry.
Trish and Rob Martin are planning to start the Rooty Hill club called “Discovering Jesus” in July at MBM Church. Trish and Rob founded and ran a charity for people with disabilities for 14 years so they have a lot to offer their Rooty Hill club.
Pray that God will draw in many new Members to both clubs. Praise Him for the hard work already done through the Leaders of these clubs.

We are currently meeting in the following locations
Take a Look Inside Jesus Club Castle Hill
Jesus Club Castle Hill commenced in 2014. They began with six members and have grown to over 30. Several Jesus Club members attend their Church’s Sunday service. This has always been our hope - for members to not only learn about their saviour Jesus through the Jesus Club program but also join the wider Church community on a Sunday. Other clubs have struggled to do this so it is encouraging to see this happening for Castle Hill.

Julie Horgan is Castle Hill’s devoted coordinator, please read on to hear some encouraging stories of how Jesus Club is impacting its members and their families.

How has Jesus Club encouraged a member’s family?

It is lovely to see the joy that we bring to our members. Noelle's father has told me that Jesus Club is the highlight of her fortnight. Her sister in law, when visiting from the UK, made a point of thanking Jesus Club Leaders for all the joy we bring Noelle. Apparently Noelle tells her sister in law all about JC over Skype.

How has Jesus Club impacted a member’s life outside of program time

I take Noelle out for coffee each school holiday. She talks about it for weeks before hand, telling the other leaders we are going out. Our next coffee catch up was due after Christmas. I also ring Noelle once a week at a set time. I spoke to her the Friday before Christmas and she told me she couldn't wait until Monday. I quickly came back with, "But, Noelle Christmas Day is Sunday!" To which she replied, "No, I mean going to Gloria Jean's". Two days out from Christmas and she was more excited with a coffee date which she presumed would take place on Boxing Day!

At our young adults service we can have up to 7 Jesus Club members plus four of our leaders attending this service. We usually sit in the same general area. The members are excited to see each other and a sense of community is developing.

How has Jesus Club helped a member grow in their knowledge of Christ

When JC started Susan a 55 year old member of our church who has Down Syndrome was telling people "There's something for me, there's something for me!" She was so excited in the lead up to Jesus Club, for the first time in her life there was a group at church especially for her.
