We're getting questions about what to do with books and other things you have at home. Thanks to everyone for being so responsible and concerned - you are awesome!
Here's what you should do with these materials:
1. Keep everything at home with you. There is still a lot of uncertainty in the scientific community about what to do with things that could get contaminated if moved someplace else. For the safety of library staff, please keep those things at home.
2. All due dates have been changed so that nothing will become overdue -- anything that doesn't get changed automatically by our system will still not be considered as late. Of course!
3. We are in the process of disabling the automatic overdue notices that get sent by email. If you do get a notice, I'm sorry! Please just ignore it.
4. Given the self-quarantine mandates from the state and federal officials, please do not share materials with your family, friends or neighbors. Instead - borrow books, audiobooks, movies, music, magazines through our online services: Libby/OverDrive, Hoopla, Freegal and let others know about these as well. These are free with your library card. If your library card has lapsed, or if you need a library card, email (email@example.com) or call and leave a voicemail (772-4346) and we can take care of that right away. ANY issues you run into with access, installing apps, using, please contact us as above! We can offer tech help by phone or email, or even Skype. Library staff is here to help.
Thank you as always for your support,
Lesley, Library Director
