WELCOME TO JULY BOMBERS!
BABY IT'S HOT OUTSIDE!!!

Greetings and salutations Bombers. Welcome to all of our new members!

Last month was the 2nd round of the Bombing Run, our intraclub competition, the beer style was saison. Congratulation to Sean Mellody for coming in 1st for his saison. If you were one of the lucky ones to taste this you know it was well deserved! 2nd place was Mike Pantalone(did i spell that right?). 3rd place was Laureen Peterson and Ed Nelling. Great job by all. The next style is Oktoberfest/Marzen in September. It's anyones game. Good luck to all. See below for current standings.
This Thursdays club meeting will be at Aston Abbey Brewing Co. 7pm. Christmas in July/Homebrew Q&A. See below for details.
Then Saturday the 21st will be the clubs Barrel Brew day at Keystone Homebrew supply. Come out and hang while Sean and Dan brew this years attempt at winning the Keystone Big Barrel Brew Championship.
Following that on Saturday the 28th is...drumroll please...our Summer Bus Tour, PHILLY HERE WE COME!!! We are currently %50 full so if you're planning on attending(and why wouldn't you!) please see below for info and tickets details. Bomb members free, but still need a ticket , so GET THOSE TICKETS!
Bruce's Quad to fill the barrel is underway, and will be going into the barrel this month to age until the holiday party in December , that's pretty exciting. Can't wait till Christmas Party to try it. Thanks to those of you that are brewing and thanks to Bruce for sharing your recipe.
Onto other competition news we are currently tied for 5th place in the hunt for the Keystone Cup. Malt Madness is our last chance to get points, so get those beers brewed and entered! I know a few of you still have those Saisons around, so get them entered. GO BOMB!!!

July Club Night-Christmas in July/Homebrew Q&A

July 19, 7pm at Aston Abbey Brewing Co.

July's meeting will be a little more laid back as summer is in full swing. We are having a Christmas in July/Homebrew Q&A theme. what that is , is a bottle swap, 4 pack, 6 pack, large format bottles, bring your best and see if you can pull off a trade, or just share what you have. We will also be doing a Q&A on all things homebrew. If you have questions this is the meeting for you. We will also try to discuss different brewing techniques, equipement, you name it. Basically we're just winging it... See you there. ***Please note ,this meeting is at Aston Abbey Brewing Company.

Get your tickets now to go on the Summer BOMB Brewery Bus Tour. We are planning a fun afternoon touring and tasting four of the outstanding breweries in the city of Brotherly Love.

You can park your cars at Sterling Pig Brewery, but please drink smart and if you are planning on driving home after the day is over, plan on a designated driver. There will be beer of course through out the day, and by you purchasing this ticket the Band of Media Brewers, Sterling Pig Brewery, or the breweries are not held responsible for your ride home. Please, don't drink and drive.

Memeber Guests: $30

Non-BOMBers: $30 per person

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. IF YOU PURCHASE A TICKET AND END UP NOT SHOWING UP THERE IS NO REFUND.

Sign up is open to MEMBERS and MEMBER GUESTS ONLY - NON-Members will be able to sign up after 7/9/18.

This trip is open to all members, their significant others and friends. MUST BE 21+ to attend however. PLEASE NOTE - only members are free - their guests or significant others (unless a couple membership) are not free. Sorry kids. Members may sign up their significant others and guest with this sign up.

2018/19 CLUB BARREL BREW

Ok bombers we are looking for brewers! On Saturday July 21st. Keystone Homebrew is once again playing host to the 2018 edition of the Club Barrel Brew. As with previous years, each participating homebrew club will be given the free use of a freshly dumped barrel. Are you willing and able to come to Keystone Homebrew and help us brew? .2018 Bombing Run

Congratulations to Mike Kinsley, our inaugural BOMBing Run Champion! He will be looking to defend his championship in 2018 and it's up to you to brew your best beers to take the trophy home in 2018. To that end, we have made a few adjustments to the BOMBing Run rules for this year and also have finalized the details on the beer styles for each round.
